Sometimes you just feel like playing with concrete

I got bored and decided to fix this a little bit.  I scraped all the moss off and removed the loose pieces.

Patched up and resurfaced

Just have to do the other step and the sides now

Evening Paint Job

After talking with my Mom, I got motivated to paint some more this evening.

I filled in the spots I had left blank.  I'll be getting the ladder out tomorrow.

I couldn't stop once I got going.  It's seriously addicting to watch the nasty colors get covered up.

I did the necessary gardening to expose what I needed to.  I've got one more layer of tiles to paint.  Eventually I'm thinking I'll plant some shade loving flowers or herbs here maybe just to make it prettier.

It looks so normal now.

Where I left off tonight...

...and what I have left before I reach the end of the house.

Some of the rafters

Ugh.  It looks worse than it really is.

Hopefully I'll be able to reach most of this section with the ladder and won't have to wait for Derrick to finish it up.

Those plastic pipes will be going away hopefully.

So much better!

I found a piece of tile in the dirt where I was painting.  Could it be?

It is!  It is!  I can attach that back where it goes now and then find the other little pieces.

Looks like a dirt storm

The hubby got on the roof to blow off all the pollen and clean the gutters

Seriously detest all the pollen

The back looks like something out of the Dust Bowl.  The gutters were completely packed solid with dirt.  Not leaves, dirt.

What a mess!
Today will be spent inside though since the Rim Fire has made the air more toxic to breath than Mt. Vesuvius.  Time to put together an owners manual binder and do filing!

Bedroom floors

Our contractor friend Derrek found this wedged under the door frame.  1963 penny.

Catcher decided to help me take out the jasmine today.

All gone now!

It looks so much neater without all the vines

Bedroom is done!

I love the flooring and how much bigger the room looks now.

My pile of brush after today

pretty flooring

next zone to conquer: the hallway

it just makes me smile every time I see it
