More outside progress
I just finished washing everything down, but you can see how dingy and lifeless the side of the garage is |
After adding a bit of color! I need to get a 12' ladder to finish though |
Close up of the new paint |
First coat of paint around the window and some of the white is up and done. I broke a glass pane that needs to be replaced so I'm holding off on finishing the paint closest to the glass |
Quite a difference I'd say |
And the rafters in their pre-trim state. I can't install the new gutters until we get a fascia hung |
Much too long to install a fascia |
The post-trim rafters. I should be getting the fascia installed tomorrow and then hopefully the gutters immediately after (especially since it's supposed to rain next week) |
Charlie is a little annoyed with me since I've been ignoring him |
Begging for attention |
"Oh fine. I'll just go sleep on the chair" |

the front porch
Living Room...ongoing
This is still a work in progress. I've got a lot of major changes to make as well as finishing some things (like the ceiling).
Master bedroom
This is the front bedroom on the floor plans and based on our use I'm
calling it the master bedroom. It is slightly larger than the other
room and has a double closet. It started out with a lot of problems,
some of which I still have not addressed. The plaster is still cracked
and I should really just replace the walls, but "round 1" of the house
clean-up was to make it livable.
primer is up and starting to hid the nasty mess that was there before |
a freshly painted ceiling that no longer has stains on it |
first wall done |
and now to fight the mold |
ugh mold |
Mark's new dresser |
new bedding is always so nice |
natural lighting |
curtains for the closet |
just missing a headboard now |
yeah! both the nightstands match now |
